Drive is quick and reliable. Works seamlessly with my MacBook PRO. I used it on my 6 year old laptop to transfer to the new one. I would highly recommend.

Glad I upgraded to this new laptop. It is fast and reliable. Only take me about 30 seconds to start up. The battery life is true to ratings and it will standby for about a week. iCloud makes my electronic life so much easier. I can easily see the pictures I took on my iPhone right on my computer. I also love that it comes with Pages, Numbers, Etc.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Will this work on a 5 yr old iMac running Yosemite?

I have an older iMac from circa 2009 running the latest version of Yosemite. Will this work? My concern is the USB port. I'm not sure it's USB 3.0.
It worked on my late 2009 model running Yosemite. I am using at a drive, not with Time Machine.
