This ink cartridge generates crisp, professional-looking black text that resists fading and is compatible with select HP Deskjet, ENVY and OfficeJet printers.
can an 61 black ink cartridge dry out when not used?
I left both color & black ink cartridges in an Envy 5530 for a period of 6 months +/- of no use . When trying to print, the color ink was fine, but the black ink cartridge acted as if empty. The printer check showed the ink level as fine.
It's more likely that the nozzle dried out than the ink itself. The printer is actually "measuring" ink by estimating based on how many pages of docs, pictures, etc printed - it doesn't physically measure the cartridge.

A lot more - the 932XL has 2.5 times as much ink as the 932.

Does it actually heat up the water?
I have a little green machine I just bought last week for the same price. Is this and upgraded version of the little green machine? Does it heat up the water? Does it have more than 1 attachment? From the picture it looks like it does, what is it? Is it special or just a duplicate of the same part?
I'm not sure what the little green machine is but this does have more than one attachment - it came with two different brush attachments and a third plastic thingy that I am not sure how to use. One of the brushes was more for upholstery cleaning and one more for carpet spot cleaning. I haven't used the upholstery one yet. I am not sure if it heats the water - you have to put hot water in with the formula. Overall I really like it though - I use it for cat-related messes and it works great for that.
