the adapter is not working with my galaxy note 2 it says no signal

I plug everything just like the instructions Said and I can't watch it on the tv it only says no signal and my phone is charging while is connected but it just not showing and I have a Sanyo tv

Can't get it to work with my Note 4??

I bought this and so far I can't get it to work with my Galaxy Note 4, I've followed the instructions and I don't know if I am doing something wrong, or if it just doesn't work. I also tried it with my cousins Galaxy S3 and couldn't get it to work with that either.
No does not work with any of the Samsung Notes for some reason
