Needed this extender for a back bedroom, where the house Wi-Fi was slow and intermittent. This did the trick. Set up was super easy. Been about 30 days and I have not had to mess with or reset it. Speed is somewhat slower than being in the same room with the main router (about 10 Mbps slower down and 5 up). Also this extender requires you to connect to an extended version of your network (a ".ext" with the same passwords), which can be a drag if you move in an out of the range of your main network (I have to manually switch networks). Also, I'm not a gamer, but for normal web surfing/streaming music and video, it works great for the price.

Purchased this system for a new home. Very easy to install and set up. The few questions and problems I had were easily answered by a very responsive tech support (almost no wait time). Note that tech support is not 24/7. Haven't had any problems with it so far (2 weeks).

What's great about it: Easy, cheap, versatile, trouble free
What's not so great: chews up the edges of envelopes
Very satisfied so far. Prints great, fairly quick from start up to print. Use the scanner a lot and like the features. Set up was problem free. Already have a replacement ink cartridge, which was cheaper than some other brands, but I am still on the original that came with the printer and I've used it quite a bit. Would have given five stars but I print my own envelopes and postage, this printer tends to crease the edges of the envelopes (specifically the edge that is fed into the envelope feeder). The envelopes are still usable, just frustrating that the edges are crumpled.

Must I hook up fax feature? Will machine work w/o enabling it?

I received MFC-7360N as gift. I have no need for fax feature. Will my machine print/copy/scan without setting up the fax feature? What steps would I skip in set up guide?
Yes, this printer will work without the fax hook up. I use a virtual fax, so I use the printer's scanner features only. No phone line hooked up. Works fine on my wireless network.
