I use these with a Panasonic DMR-EZ48V dvd/vcr recorder for OTA TV recording, especially sports. They work excellently, even given the demands of fast moving sports scenes.

I am skeptical about these do-everything receivers but decided to give this Pioneer Elite a try. I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent sound staging and overall sound quality. I was attracted to it partly because it seemed to be the only 5.2 amp that allowed you to bi-amp by assigning the surround amps also to the front. My speakers have 2 sets of binding posts so I was able to fully utilize this function for 2 channel sound and it really made a difference. I attached a small front speaker for whenever I need great sound for tv viewing and it's of course way better than most sound bars.

I have used many other brands but this is the first one that my recorder accepted all of the blank discs - usually there is at least one blank in the pack that is unusable and I get the 'no disc' message from my recorder. So I have to say that these Dynex DVD+R are excellent.

I have had very good results with this DVD+R. I know that there are lots of compatibility problems between dvd players and the various DVD recordable formats. However, this DVD+R worked well even in my Samsung BDP1500 which is labeled as not for the +R format. Maybe I was lucky.

I was looking for a 40" TV but when I saw this one at BB I realized that the sleek form factor would allow it to fit in the tight space I had. So I got a bigger picture than expected and the picture quality is awesome - this is a true win-win. The only thing I did not like was the remote control because it did not include buttons for direct access to the inputs. However, the TV responded to my old NS-RC03A-13 remote that has the required buttons. Insignia should realize that direct access to inputs gives their TVs a competitive advantage over the big name brands (Samsung, LG, Sharp, etc) and should be promoting this feature rather than trying to discontinue it. In addition, I also wish Insignia would go back to separate connectors for composite and component video inputs.

I bought this TV because it is about the smallest 40" tv available now. It has the features I like in a small TV, including direct access to the inputs by remote (but you need the old Insignia NS-RC03A13 remote) and when using the antenna input, automatic captions on mute. Note however that due to the low feet, the bottom of the picture starts about 1.5" above your credenza so you can't put large boxes in front of it. On the negatives, the picture from the composite inputs is not nearly as good as that of previous Insignia LED tvs, the remote supplied lacks buttons for direct input access, and also this TV has ridiculously bright twin red standby lights.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Form factor; features
What's not so great: Way too expensive for the simple technology involved
I bought it primarily for use in a bedroom because I need an airflow to sleep well in the summer. Over the years I had used several standard fans but found them to be simply too noisy. The Dyson proved to be a winner - it is noisier than I expected but much quieter than standard fans. I found that placing it on a piece of foam reduced its sound so low that I can now sleep peacefully.
