This cable modem replaced two devices at one time: (1) an older and slower cable modem, and (2) the Apple Airport Express connected to it to provide wifi. Now I only need the one device and fewer wires and adapters. It was very easy to set up. The people at Comcast Xfinity were very helpful and activated it over the phone in just a few minutes. Now our ethernet and wifi are much faster than before. Since we don't have to pay Comcast the monthly rental fee, this modem will pay for itself in about a year or so.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The details are a bit futuristic (we haven't landed people of Mars quite yet), but the premise is entirely plausible. This is a "smart" movie, in that the stranded astronaut must use his wits to try to survive as long as possible in hopes of rescue. Everything he does and everything that happens to him is based on actual scientific fact. It showcases the value of high quality education and the ability to apply that knowledge to solve unexpected problems as they arise. He knows a lot of facts, but more importantly, he understands the scientific principles behind the facts. This allows him to "think out of the box" and come up with novel solutions to complex problems that threaten to kill him before help arrives. Great movie! You'll be on the edge of your seat til the very end.

This Brother printer is an excellent value if you don't need color. You get all the advantages of laser printing, like smudge-free copy and lower costs per page compared to inkjets, plus added features like automatic double-sided printing, stand-alone copying with enlargement and reducing capabilities, and scanning. The scanning capabilities of this printer are outstanding. Color or black and white in adjustable resolutions, with an option to scan directly to certain specific apps are just a couple of nice features. I don't personally use the extra scanning features, but it's nice to have them available just the same. Quiet, fairly fast, inexpensive both to buy and to operate, and includes a stand-alone copying and scanning to boot. What else could you want for about a hundred bucks?

Laser Printers & MAC OS

I was wondering which printer would be the best for my iMac using Snow Leopard or if any are compatible...
Any current Brother laser printer will work just fine with any current Apple computer. I personally have an HL-2270DW, an HL-2280DW, and an HL-3170CDW in my home. All work perfectly on my home wifi network. None are connected with cables. Any computer on the network can print to any printer on the network, however, only the HL-3170CDW has the AirPrint capability that allows an iPhone or iPad to print directly to it. Brother has a newer black and white laser printer (HL-L2380DW) out that also has AirPrint as well as automatic double-sided printing, stand-alone copying, and scanning, all for about a hundred bucks.

Which toner does this model use?

Two toner choices come up for this product which one does it use?
The TN630 is the standard capacity toner cartridge. It's advertised yield is about 1200 pages. The TN660 is the high capacity cartridge. It's advertised yield is about 2600 pages, and is the better deal by far. I highly recommend using only genuine Brother OEM toner cartridges. I have used after-market cartridges in the past but will never do so again. The quality of the toner is highly variable and you stand much more of a chance of toner leaking out and ruining your documents and possibly your printer as well. The same goes for refilling your toner cartridge yourself or at a local computer shop. I've never had good success doing that. Just my 2¢ worth...
