Seems to be holding up very well (even though I tend to be a little "heavy handed" when typing). Love the fact that both the keyboard and the mouse have a power on/off button to save battery life!
I would recommend this to a friend!

is there a caps lock indicator ?

This is missing from my k260 and I hate it. I will not buy another without a light or onscreen notification that caps lock is on.
Yes! There is a small green light right on the Caps Lock key which is very helpful.

I don't have a laptop. Will the mk520 combo still work?

Yes, it will work with a desk top just fine! You simply plug in the little "Toggle or Fob thingy" to any USB port and it all connects seamlessly and wirelessly.
