does this affect wifi connection

I bought it for my xbox one but whenever it is plugged in my xbox cant connect to xbox live. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know a fix?
not one bit, most likely an issue with wifi, try connecting Xbox directly to router via Ethernet cable to see if that affects it
