I tried two other similar devices (returned) before getting the j5create, primarily to drive two external HDMI monitors from my laptop. Also use it for a USB numeric keypad. All work great, and come back from a laptop sleep cycle properly, though I did need to add the optional USB power cable to get the monitors powered enough. My only problem seems to be latency on the second USB port, because I can’t add a mouse or external drive. Luckily I can live without these or use a different laptop port.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this little guy. My new laptop doesn’t have a numeric keypad, and as a CFO I crunch a lot of numbers. This has been a godsend and has worked perfectly. Even running it through my Type-C docking station, response time is great and the feel of the keys is just right. I have one at home and one at the office.

Would only send display signal to HDMI or DisplayPort ports, but not both. Not sure if it was under-powered or a faulty design, but couldn’t use it to connect to 2 external monitors.

Slow and Won’t Wake Up

Tried plugging in my USB mouse but the slow response time made it unusable. Worse, though, was that it wouldn’t send a picture to the secondary monitor after waking up after the laptop came back from a sleep cycle. Returned it for j5create model which has worked perfectly (though was much more expensive).

Has everything I wanted:
1. Prints from Win 10 clients, not just Win 7;
2. Prints from iPad & iPhone via AirPrint;
3. Has a fax that actually works (woohoo!);
4. Scans to e-mail (woohoo!);
5. Scans to thumb drive;
6. Prints from outside the home via Google Cloud Print;
7. Prints duplex.

Setup wasn't too bad, though it took a combination of physical screen menu and web admin menu options and some trial and error. Scanning to e-mail was the hardest to set up because of poor error messages and having to turn off the printer between configuration changes, but it eventually worked. I used a free G-mail account, which added an extra authentication hurdle. I haven't attempted the scan to a network folder, since e-mail is just as convenient.

The online specifications are wrong. These headphones do not have any volume control or any inline control whatsoever, so can't be used with iPod/iPhone/etc to control tracks or volume.

Phone Compatible
Would these be compatible with an iPhone?
I wouldn't recommend these headphones for use with an iPhone because they can't control the volume or tracks. They don't have a mic, either, like the standard iPhone earbuds so you couldn't use them during a phone call.
