As almost every Apple product does, this thing just works. Plug it in and go. No issues on my iMac or MBP

What's great about it: Quick setup, reasonable price, works flawlessly
What's not so great: The shape, you can't put anything on top of it
If you follow the included setup guide with and connect all the cables it's amazingly easy to get up and running. Web interface is good, although a little laggy when opening the remote or guide portions.
It's a great way to avoid paying for multiple set-top boxes from your provider. The only down side is, the box it's connected to and all Sling viewers will be watching the same thing, but thats minor.

Does the box use home internet data when watching the slingbox from another location?

I live in Alaska, and we don't have unlimited internet like there is in the Lower 48 states. If my husband is out of town for work, in the lower 48, and accesses the slingbox, of course he will be using the internet in his location. However, during the time that he is watching our DVR, would our data usage at home, where the slingbox is connected, go up as well?
Yes, It will use your upload to send the video from Alaska to wherever you log in from. The only time it doesn't have to do that is if you're at home on the same network.
