Decent radio but disappointing tuner

As an ardent radio listener, I had high hopes for this SONY radio. The features and functions work as described, but the station signal drift was very noticeable, even for a strong local FM station. I subsequently received a Sangean DT-180 which turns out to have excellent reception and no signal drift.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can I get a weather alert while listening to a radio station?

Will this radio allow one to set it for "alert" and then allow me to listen to a radio station.
No, you can switch to the weather band, but the radio does not transmit emergency weather signals.

can the radio bought in USA be used in China?
You can use it in China but it will only receive signals broadcast within what we call the FM range.

No, you need to use headphones or external speaker.
