The machine is slow. It is slow to start. It is slow to copy. It is slow to scan. It is slow for everything except using up the ink. When it finally gets down to the copies and scans, the results are very good.

I added about 10 feet of coax to the antenna connector to give the antenna room to get to the nearest window and hung it with a cup hook in the window to discourage my husband from moving it around. (Each time it is moved, you need to re-run the channel scan). Reminds me of the opening scene in "Fahrenheit 451" except the antenna is indoors.

Set up is easy, but don't overlook all of the options available in "Settings" as you may want to check the last one for optional Daylight Savings Time. If you don't, all of your programming times will be on Standard Time, which is workable but unnecessary. Enjoy this wonderful little box. The catch is the antenna you have or choose. Follow the instructions!

can I get a new remote ?
my dog ate my remote and now I can't do channel scans or control my volume. I purchased 2 after market -universal remotes and neither one works with my insignia converter box
I commiserate with you. My dog thought TV remotes were toys, too and I was able to replace them on the market. My dog has since passed and if I could not replace the remote for the converter by Insignia the same way, I would call, email or write Insignia for their suggestions.

i currently have Comcast as my provider. Can I use this antenna without Comcast?
Oh yesssss! Only as long as you have available signals through the air.

How many do i need
I am planning on dding away with cable tv and using netflix and or hulu. I have 4 television sets. Do I need an antenna for each television
Unless you have a wireless network attached to your set with an antenna with receivers on the other sets, the answer is yes. Once you have bought the antennas, however, the cost is still less than cable.
