This replaced a earlier sony model that didnt quite have the umph or watts. Found out that I needed 2 more speakers other than the bose bookshelf surround speakers, I had been using previously. I rebuilt my old speakers and bought some polk stand-up. So using 12 in woofers with sub woofer amp, with ADL 1100 series this thing gets up nice and clear and LOUD to the feel.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pro logic light

Since my cable box only has 1 hdmi output I'm unable to listen/watch tv thru tv it automatically turns unit on. I don't need to watch everything thru the receiver. I'm currently unable to run TV HD programs in surround using Sony's guide. The pro logic light does not come on. I've order a hdmi splitter so I can connect the cable to both TV, for local news etc., and the receiver for movies etc. Anyone else having this problem
I hope this helps I ran the line from channel box to STEREO then it feeds to HDMI TV input ...everything goes through STEREO to speakers and TV. I have a DVD HDMI, 2 Wii's, one for NETFLIX and one for GAMES, then VCR and playstation. Everything runs from the remote perfectly CD/DVD, GAME, SAT/CATV, VIDEO , SA-CD/CD. TV. It all runs through stereo and sounds great up loud WOW! My subwoofer shakes my room and its not on high its adjusted to what the specs suggested and then set your treble bass subwoofer in the menu. If you wanted to listen to stereo while TV is on your out of luck. Its a waste of energy so I agree with it after using it.

I have an older wired subwoofer. It has a L & R connection via wires or RCA jacks. This unit has only a single sub-out. How do i connect?

your output from stereo is speakers so you hook left to left and right to right input and I believe that the other jack is for adding another subwoofer with the amp inbetween
