I was in the market for a Samsung smart TV, but they were sold out. the tech advised me to get the standard TV with the ROKU 3. He was right on. The ROKU 3 has way more apps than the smart TV, and is very snappy. It results in a much more enjoyable streaming experience.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was in the market for a Samsung smart TV, but they were sold out. The tech advised me to get this TV with a ROKU 3. The guy was right on. The TV picture is beautiful, and definitely go with 3rd party smart apps over the Samsung apps. I have these on a smart blu-ray and they are no where near the selection on the ROKU 3... and it's very snappy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

separate roku 3 streaming player for bedroom...

i am going to get a roku 3 for my main hdtv in my living room....do i need to get a separate roku 3 for my bedroom?...if i do need to get a separate one can i use one account for both or do i need separate accounts?....
You will need a separate ROKU 3 for each bedroom. It will stream content from whatever channel apps you download and install, and each ROKU 3 will act indepenently of the other. Each channel app you install may have it's own sign up requirements like HULU Plus or Netflix, and you can sign into those services on each ROKU 3 separately.

Do you still need a wifi carrier to have roku, or can you sign up for wifi through roku?

the ROKU 3 is wifi or wired LAN capable. You need to have a separate internet service in order for the ROKU 3 to stream content. You cannot sign up for internet service through the ROKU 3. Your internet service provider can help you set up a home wifi if that's what you want.
