Bought this tv for $69, needed this to be small enough and portable to be able to move around with a xbox one. It works fine for gaming its not a 4k monitor you can tell the quality is terrible but for $69 has two hdmi connections it works.

Do you still need a wifi carrier to have roku, or can you sign up for wifi through roku?
You have to have internet access at home, either WiFi or Ethernet cable.

Possibly, all you need is a HDMI input on the TV and internet access at home.

cant sign on on computer when others are watching netflix
That's a Netflix, they recently changed somethings, the regular 7.99 month account is only available for two screens to be shown if you want up to 4 screens its more money, which I think is 11.99 (I have it).

any more channels being added to the roku 3?
will be the roku 3 be adding anymore channels in the near future? or do you just get what they currently have for awhile.....
I think they do update it frequently, If you go onto a computer you could find more apps to connect to your Roku then searching it on your player.

what is the difference between hulu and hulu plus besides the subscription?
i noticed that the roku 3 has the hulu plus...what is the difference between hulu and hulu plus???..are both offered on the roku 3?....does the hulu plus have everything that the regular hulu has and more???....is it worth getting the plus???????
Hulu is Hulu plus there is no difference, You can get a free account on Hulu on a computer only. But If you want to get Hulu on a device your going to have to pay monthly and the app is called Hulu Plus.
