Easy setup to 'match' it to the original, as Handset 2.
I would not recommend it to a friend, unless the friend has the base unit and also has a need for an extension. Duh. lol
Might be a good backup if the battery is dead on Handset 1.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Garmin - nüvi 50LM - 5" - Lifetime Map Updates - Portable GPS - Black
Garmin nüvi 50LM Portable GPS: Instead of trying to view maps while you drive or recruit a friend to act as navigator, let this portable GPS guide you to your destination. It features text-to-speech and turn-by-turn voice prompts that audibly provide directions, so you can keep your eyes on the road.

Good for my lousy sense of direction (lol)

What's great about it: Advanced notification of upcoming turns, exits, distance, etc.
What's not so great: Occasionally wants to send me the "long way around", but.....
(Good price; was bundled) (Excellent for my limited use).
Occasionally wants to send me the "long way around", but will quickly recalculate when I take another route.
Example.. I exited the PA Turnpike due to heavy traffic. Garmin wanted me to get back on the Turnpike to continue to my destination. I knew how to get there via an alternate "backroads" route. In less than one mile, Garmin "figured that out" and was correct in further directions.
Smarter than a "backseat driver". lol
This product has... Large/easy to see screen, Easy menus, Free map updates, nice voice some humorous pronunciation. lol, great "advanced warnings" & correct lane positions
About me... Budget Conscious, casual user, lousy sense of direction. (hereditary).lol)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Will this product work with my existing phones?

We lost one of the handsets for our VTech CS6719-2. We still have the large base, a smaller base, and one handset. Can we use this handsets along with our existing phones and bases, on the same phone line?
Thanks.
According to BestBuy webpage:
"Expansion handset and charger.
For use with VTech CS6719, CS6729, CS6759, CS6829 or CS6859 base stations (not included). Will not function as a stand-alone phone."

You have to "link" the handset as Handset 2. If you already have one, you have to 'unlink' the old one first.
(I don't have the instructions with me, and I don't recall the exact term for 'linking' it, but I recall the above.)
