I'm planning to use the phone in a country where electricity uses 220V, will I be able to do that?
No it can not. 110 for only. Check the box before purchasing.

do these phones require a wall phone jack?

Yes, it is an analog phone and the base unit needs to connect to a wall jack. The additional phones do not.
