i stay in RSA and is interested in the USD1 samsung s6 edge on 2 year plan. how does it / plan work and how do i go about?

The plan is a 2 year plan. That means,you keep the phone for 2 years before you get a new one. After two years you can get a new one. I have always had Samsung phones and I usually keep them for about 3-4 years. You need to contact Samsung to,set up the plan.
