My son is 11 and wants this tablet to create 3D characters, comics, etc.... Which tablet would you recommend? Do you think the small is too small for this? Also- I'm not too tech savvy- is this something he can link to an iPad? Or it has to be a PC/lap?

The small is fine. My son is in college and is using the small and loves it.
