The screen quality is excellent, the keyboard is near perfect, weigth is acceptable for the 15" size if I'd wanted lighter I'd have bought the 13" version; trackpad is nice size & very responsive. And touch screen is more useful than I expected. I thought I could do without touch screen, but now having it, I find, I use it more often than I expected. My only regret is not getting more SSD capacity (was not avalaible from BB) and maybe not waiting for 8000 series CPU (for better battery life - which is still over 8hr). Camera quality is disapointing, but not a big issue to me, for this price this notebook should have a HD camera (but does not).
As with all computers there are a series of tradeoffs: screen size/definition, weight, processor, memory & storage. For the price this is a very good package.

This pencil was included with my recent purchase of a S3 tablet, so I did not buy it. But now that I have it, is it worth $0 - absolutely. Would it be worth $45 - it depends. Most of the drawing I'm doing on the S3 is done with the included pen, mainly for finer lines. I have found the pencil is ideal for shading and some charcoal sketches and for some clouds I've done with pastels.
Do I have to have it; no. Now could I get by without it, yes; but its a nice tool to have, and I have found it useful in certain drawing circumstances. So I am glad I have it and would not give it back now....and if I lost it, I'd probably buy another.

I have an iPad (not pro),I wanted something to draw/sketch on, I was torn to spend nearly a thousand dollars for a iPad pro + $100 for the pencil and other accessories, or try the Galaxy Tab 3. I went to BB and looked at both screen side by side, the Samsung was brighter. The colors on the Samsung looked better to me. I was beginning to doubt my vision, it cost less how can it be better. I tried the pen on the Samsung, it seemed very fluid, did exactly what I'd expect. I could not get a sales person to get a pen for the apple, so I could not try it side by side, but the Samsung pressure levels did exactly what I wanted, I was almost sold. I then found I could get 128gb memory card for the Samsung for $40, versus upgrading the iPad pro for $150 (64->256), I could get 4x the expandable memory for the same price.... And I found the BB had a special bundle that included a Digital pencil at no cost (like pen but wider "softer" stylus) - wow. I've downloaded several drawing packages which meet or exceed my expectations - I'm very happy with my decision. I don't know why this tablet does not get better press, the Apple crowd must have something to do with this (don't get me wrong I have a MacBook and a iPhone), but S3 is an exceptional tablet, every bit as good as the iPad pro (imho), just under 1/2 the cost. If your considering this or a ipad pro, I think the decision goes to Samsung.

First a short evaluation of Std Bluray vs 4K on a
First I watched the std Blu Ray on my LG DB670 to get a feel for the image quality The I watched the same Bluray on a new LG-UP970 and then the 4K version on the LG-UP970 all on a 65" Sony X900e),
The Blu-ray to Blu ray comparison on a 4K player; the 4k player certainly improved the std output,mostly in the darker scenes where more detail could be seen "in the shadows"; and the new player was much faster to get started and react to commands.
No onto bluray vs 4K... well initially is was just better, but as the action got more intense the quality of fast moving images the picture improved, they we more three dimensional, the shadows had more content to them, the wide angle shots were gorgeous. With really no way to exactly compare side by side images, the original blu ray, seemed flatter, the 4K version was voluptuous (in a good way) just more ripe with detail.
On to Ghost in a Shell, again the colors and cinematography were outstanding, and with the movis have many "dark" scenes where picture were outstanding. I'm officially a fan of 4K films. Ghost in a Shell tells a scary story of "Drs" making quality decision and then doing more research to improve their 'product' discarding that deemed inferior; don't think this give anything away, but the "Dr" never expected their research subject to interact with each other....
It a good suspenseful sci-fi movie, that really touches on moral decisions.

About 2 yrs ago a bought the iPad Mini 3, it server me well but I was never completely happy with it's FaceTime, in terms of network speed and size of screen. Well that's all fixed now, this new iPad has much better/faster network stability and connectivity....absolutely no issues so far, and the screen is much easier to read. My continued complaint about the iPad (and iPhone) is I can't add a micro SD drive to quickly move my photos on/off. yes I new this going in still all Android/Windows tablets offer this...come on Applie it's about time (-1 star)

My mothers iPhone 5 started acting odd after about 2 years, seemed to be in perfect condition, but would boot to white screen or not power on /charge. Went to Genius Bar the offered to replace phone for $280+TX as they said phone was not repairable and out of warranty. Well for less than the above I could get a newer phone, with a faster processor, touch interface and double the memory from BB & AT&T - a No Brainer.
Updating was easy, SE version of phone much better - not happy about needing to replace, but very happy with new SE

I really wanted to like this movie more then I did. From the beginning I found the premise "most unlikely", at times it was funny, Dwayne was enjoyable, Kevin seemed like he was getting pushed to do things. Characters both old and young not that well developed, understandable but explainable. Find something else to occupy 90m of your life

Is the clock loud when playing music?
the clock makes no noise at all; probably not what your are really asking...
The radio volume if fine for a small room, very little bass, but an over all pleasant sound that can be adjusted from quite to annoyingly loud,

why does the clock show time in a 24 hour format?
you can set it to either 12/24 hour display; so you do not have to see/use the 24hr display
