Best Wireless Keyboard Mouse Combo I've found.
Manage 100+ systems and have been migrating to these.
Excellent battery life and they have indicators (red/green) on the power switches. Watch for the $29.00 or $34.00 sales.

Removed failed drive from RAID array, plugged this one in, rebuild array - all is well.

Check you bios settings
XP should format to full size of drive unless something is preventing it from doing so.

What type of partition table does this drive have,windows 7 install says it needs a GPT?

Seagate 1TB internal ata drive,m/n st310005n1a1as-rk.
Works with W7.
Install, format, and you're done.
