This was my second purchase of the Jawbone Up24 because Jawbone could not fulfill a warranty claim on the first in a timely manner. It took them three months to agree that it was a discontinued model and replaced it with a brand new Up2. When I first got the Up24 I thought it was the best but for such a great product their corporate attitude made me go buy the Fitbit Charge HR. Having used both now for a while I came to the conclusion that Jawbones corporate issues in support was the worst simply because their representatives read off a script and make unrealistic commitments they do not meet. Their corporate issues far outweigh the quality product they offer so I will be sticking with the Fitbit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When the power flickers I get to keep on going! Have a backup power supply for all my electronics, computers, home theater, bedroom TV. Nothing worse than watching something and the power goes out just for a second and having to wait for the set top receiver to take a while to reboot. Eliminates it all and with no maintenance or supervision. Plug it in and forget it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does it work for Hot Yoga?

I've read a few times the Charge HR is not waterproof. I want to use it in Hot Yoga, but you sweat a lot , so has anyone tried this successfully?
The Fitbit Charge HR is water resistant. It is rain and splash proof and can stand up to even the sweatiest workout; however, it should be removed before swimming or showering.

how many hours does this last continuously, for example a blackout or power outage. it says 121 mins but also 16 hours-kinda confused

Depends on what you have plugged into it. The more the power drainage the less the backup time.
