Works well for my Canon G16 with a thick wrist strap. Main compartment is well padded. The outer pocket is just an unpadded layer of nylon with a zip opening, so I'm worried battery corners will get caught or damaged. The pocket is roomy enough for two batteries and an SD card, but again, the thin nylon makes me wonder about durability. Time will tell.
Belt strap on back is only way to attach it. I'd have preferred an additional attachment point more carabiner friendly.
I'll be looking for something with better accessory protection, but this made me comfortable with putting a $500 camera in it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this to go with a Canon G16 camera. It's plenty large (9999+ photos at max resolution, or from about 3 hours of 1080p/60 FullHD to 999+ minutes of SD video), and fast enough that when shooting in continuous shot mode, the camera stays at around 10fps without slowdown from a full buffer no matter how long I keep the shutter button down.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not a lot of offerings in wrist straps of this size. I like that this is a large weave instead of neoprene or plastic. It's more comfortable than a thin plastic strap, and doesn't catch on material or bunch up like neoprene. The large plastic buckle that slips it tight was a bother until I wrapped a rubber band around it to keep it from noosing my wrist every time I let it hang.

I was considering a full body Canon DSLR when I started looking for a new camera. After some hands on shopping though, I realized I'd want a more compact and lightweight package. Primarily, I wanted a camera I could take anywhere quickly, but still have all the features and controls of a full DSLR. It also had to be something my wife could just point and shoot and get decent results from. We looked at some Compact System Cameras, which are marvelously capable (large sensor size, fast lenses, great shutter response time and continuous shooting speed), but a bit pricy, and still too bulky for a pocket.
After scouring the various "best camera to do X" pages on the Internet, I came across this gem. And it truly is a wonder of compromise and ability. One site reviewer claimed he was almost unable to take a bad shot with it, and that is an accurate measure of this camera. It's got a foolproof Auto mode, is light enough that it doesn't cause my wife any problems to hold (she's suffers arthritis, so weight is critical), and still gives me all the on-body controls I want to be able to adapt settings to rapidly changing conditions, or quickly try different techniques to difficult shots. It shoots pretty good 1080p video, with good sound and a sharp image. All this, and still fits in my pocket (cargo preferred, but loose jeans work too). And, critically, still provides a viewfinder, so no more shooting blind at the beach with the sun on the screen. It's also a great battery extender since its optical not electronic. Battery life is great anyway, but having the option to turn off the display and get another couple hundred or more shots is priceless if there's not a spare battery handy.
I've had it a month now, and still keep marveling at its abilities and discovering cool features. It has a Star mode that makes taking pictures of the night sky a whole new adventure. I've fallen in love with photography all over again after years of living with only what stuffs in a pocket and chases the kids from activity to activity.
My only possible complaint is the limited zoom range. It's only 5x optical, with two different digital zoom ranges that take it up to 10x. The digital zoom is quite nice compared to my experience with other point and shoot cameras, still providing a good quality image, but still not the sharpness a full optical zoom would be. On the plus side, this camera provides a bayonet mounting ring to allow for accessory lenses and filters.
I highly recommend this camera to anyone wanting to have a full feature camera with great image quality (it's not all about megapixels) and still fool-proof point and shoot ease. Its a great camera at its price.

transefering images via cable

This camera doesn't come with a cable which fits to my Mac.
Could you please suggest what cable I need to buy ? I do not prefer to send images via wifi to Canon Image gateway. Thanks for responce
Same issue with a PC, no mini-USB to USB cable included. I already had one laying around, but the driver to attach the camera depends on handing it off to a cloud before I get to see the pictures. Bad Canon! Naughty, naughty Canon! My pictures, not yours. Hands off and keep out!

The Image Gateway is not part of the wifi solution on my iPad and Android phone - the Canon Camera Connect app communicates directly to the camera on the local network when the camera is in Wifi mode, and has worked great for getting pictures from the camera to those devices. I havent been able to get the Windows version of Camera Connect to work, however. It keeps losing connection with the camera and won't retry without restarting windows, and then fails again.

I just pull the SD card out and pop that into the slot included in just about all modern PCs and laptops. If you can afford this camera, and a Mac, then an SD card adapter is cheap cheap cheap, really.
