in order to fax, do I need to use a computer (if so, MAC ok?), or can I fax right from the printer?
You can Fax direct from printer as long as you have a phone line plugged into the printer.

Yes. Only for VERIZON. But it is both Wifi and LTE Cell.

It will cost you $10.00 per month plus a one time $40.00 activation fee.

can this mount inside a 24" deep cabinet?
Can this be set inside a 24 " deep cabinet, if so how much space is needed for circulation?
It would easily fit into a Cabinet 24" deep. You would have ample room for venting. Just make sure you leave a airspace in the back.
