What's great about it: great price
What's not so great: the color isn't that great and the touch screen isn't sensitive so I found myself pushing hard on the screen
This product is a nice gift for a child age 8 -12. I was worried about my 8 yr old son breaking the tablet or it being stolen or lost. I also like that I can add more memory. I paid under $100 for it and for this price I got what I paid for. Ok product, I would not recommend this for an adult.

do i need a screen protector for this tablet?

Yes. You can scratch your screen.
