Overall a great projector! The 3LCD is definitely worth it. Enough lumens of white and color to make a great picture. It's bright enough to keep the lights on in my church bible classroom.
The only two negatives are:
1) the wireless adapter doesn't actually come with the projector. The manual said "sold separately". No biggie since I wasn't planning on using it anyway.
2) the case that comes with it is very cheap feeling. It's thin and doesn't provide much protection; it's strictly for carrying it. No padding whatsoever. The front pocket really doesn't have ideal room for the power cord and the remote (and anything else you may want to include (i.e. HDMI cable, adapter for iPad, etc). When all that is in the pocket, it bulges a little too much for my taste, but again, not a deal breaker. The dinky Velcro strip doesn't secure the flap much either. I'd much rather have a zipper closure. You can purchase a much better case separately.
It does have a nice, easy to use, kickstand (lever type, not screw in/out type) on the front that's plenty long enough to project at higher levels. There's an optical zoom slider, a focus slider, and a lever that closes a shield over the bulb to protect it when not in use. The projector itself does not have a built in handle like older ones I've used in the past, which would be nice, but not vital. I also like the color. Black technology just seems more sleek and classy to me; just personal preference. I only use this projector once a week on Sunday morning, so I haven't tested every single feature, but I'm getting there.

Sequels usually aren't as good as the original, but this one is definitely the exception. Marvel is getting geared up for the most anticipated sequel ever...Avengers: Age of Ultron!

Would this be a good projector for outdoors?

It can be used outdoors, yes; as any projector could I would think. I don't know that there are projectors specifically made for outdoors. I would definitely use this for movies on the lawn if I wanted.

Can it be changed to 16:9 aspect ratio?

Yes, in the settings, but only if you're using a hdmi connection I believe.

Can this projector be used with an iPad?

I use it with my iPad Air 2, but I have an hdmi to lightning adapter that I purchased separately for around $50. I have an hdmi cable going from the adapter to the projector. I'm not sure about any wireless connection.
