Not a lot to say except installation went easily in a 2009 MacBook pro whose drive ha died. Drive fired up with no problems, It was a bit of a pain installing software as it is all loaded off line instead of a disc. But that is an Apple problem, not any issue with the disc drive. I've had it a month and it is working fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Will it work in a Macbook Pro?

I have a 3rd generation Macbook Pro and was just wondering if the Toshiba hard drive will work with Macbook. Would I need to purchase any additional parts or software? Currently I have Mountain Lion OS X installed on the Mac.
I'm not sure what age is a 3rd generation MacBook Pro. However, I just installed one in a 2009 model MacBook pro and it works fine. Of course you will have to reinstall the system software which isn't much of an issue if you have the install disc or a Time Machine backup. If you opted for the on-line download it can be a bit of a pain.
