Self Calibration...Service Required ....

These above notes appeared on my 8500 screen. We live in Florida, where it gets VERY hot in the car.

What's causing this??

I have put a white slip of paper over the top of the unit to shield it from direct sun rays.
Heat is never good for any kind of electronics. Try to keep it as cool as possible. Heat can damage the electronics and cause them to malfunction and not work correctly / acculturate. Also, this could also be cause by the device not getting a consistent voltage. Make sure it is securely in the lighter socket and doesn't move around. You may also want to test your lighter socket to make sure it is putting out the correct and consistent voltage. Other than that, I'd send the device into Escort for service.

Where can I go to get my 9500ix calibrated?

I just bought it on Craigslist with the box and everything. I just want to make sure it's calibrated.
All tune-ups and repairs are preformed by Escort. You will need to send in your device to Escort.

Is the included Ethernet cable cat 5, cat 5e, or cat 6?

Question says it all. Just wondering about the included cable and if I would need to pick up a new one.
