We were on a budget, so we tried to go as cheap as possible while holding to the reviews of others. This one was getting pretty constant positive feedback, so we thought we had to try it. I mean we were looking for a few key things: Bluetooth, Wireless Sub, Good Bass, and not bulky. This filled everything! Although the look of the visible speakers is a tad odd, it makes it feel top of the line, and the touch screen buttons along with the comletely adjustable settings, we made our giant Ranch living room full of the good sound and amazing bass for such a low price as compared to other models! Would highly reccomend for anyone because setup is literally plus it in, one cord, and the on button!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What can I do about my subwoofer going out every 5 to ten seconds?

Depending on if it is wireless VS wired,

Wireless: Simply place the Sub closer or clear the path to make a direct line of sight with the main source.

Wired: Many potential reasons, most of which involve a simple checking of wires and connections.

Will close captioning work with a sound bar?

Before installing the sound bar, we used closed captioning. Now that the sound bar is installed, closed captioning no longer seems to work. Am I missing something? I would like to be able to use close captioning for me and the sound bar for hubby.
Yupp! It should be pretty simple to set this up with the newer televisions. It is all dependent on the TV settings, not the sound bar. If your TV is a smart TV or has any type of HDMI cord (nearly anything after 2008) just go to your menu on the TV and adjust the CC (or on the satalite menu in some cases) as usual. In the TV settings under the Sound section, you will set up the output to the external device used. My Samsung TV had an option that made the sound only come from the external source rather than both the TV and the Sound Bar connected with an Optical cable.
