What's great about it: You can ajust levels on the back, and still allow soundbar to modify
What's not so great: Nothing
I was apprehensive about it hooking to my existing sound bar. No problem. The supplied cable plugged right in. It all worked like a charm.

Impedance matching?

Since it's amplified and using the RCA jack, do I still need to be concerned with matching impedance with my receiver?
No. Since it is a powered subwoofer, impedance is not an issue. Impedance would only be an issue between the amp and the speaker. Not the inputs.
