Difference between " Upconvert to 1080p" and "High Definition up to 1080p"
Comparing the Sony BDPS3200 and the BDPS5200. What's the difference between " Upconvert to 1080p" (BDPS3200 ) and "High Definition up to 1080p" (BDPS5200)?
"Upconvert" will enhance the quality of older DVDs and Blu-Rays that were filmed at a lower quality (making the images sharper), while "High Definition up to 1080p" means that it will support video rates up to 1080p. 1080p is the current standard of video quality in cameras and video-recording devices, whereas IMAX and 3-D movies are a higher quality (4K) so will not play at prime quality on players only supporting 1080p.
