Easy setup, works with FiOS cable card, HDMI, and records 4 shows at once! I have had several TiVo boxes and this unit is the fastest yet; channel surfing keeps right up with me.

How well does this work with FIOS? Can I eliminate my FIOS DVR?

Works well with FiOS. The cable card from Verizon costs about $4 per month. The only thing you can't do is on-demand; you would have to call Verizon to purchase a movie vs. pressing a button on a remote.
