When we purchased the Speaker 360 R7, thought it would work with TV Speakers, "Would Not". Product is Good Just Not What We Wanted.

can this be used outside in a screen porch. Temps over 90 degrees for a period of 1 week?

Ours in the garage seems to be okay thus far.

The room I need to put it in is carpeted. Must I buy a piece of plywood to set it on?

Personally, I say "NO" but Accidents Do Happen. If Protection Of The Carpet Is Major Concern For Leaks ~ Then I Would Get A "Metal Container With 1/2 Lip For Possible Leaks. But I do not think you should have any concerns for leaks with the New Freg:
