I have had this appliance for about a month. It has worked perfectly in our basement. It is quiet (you can adjust the fan speed) and effective. The fan is strong enough to circulate the air well, and it seemed to run well when the basement was still pretty cold in the spring. I have had trouble with dehumidifiers in the past, but this one looks like a keeper.

This is a simple straightforward landline phone. It runs on batteries for its LED display, (I am using rechargables -- check out Eneloop batteries) so you don't have to plug it in. It has a nifty way to convert to a wall phone, which is how we are using it. It has three very quick dial memories, and many more speed dial memories. It has volume control on the ringer and the receiver. The sound is good, but you can hear a little hiss if you crank up the receiver volume to the max.
It has caller ID, but it does not show when we have voice mail, which is its only real drawback for us.
Generally, it is an excellent phone at a good price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The My PassPort USB drive has performed flawlessly. I used OS X's Disk Utility to create a couple of partitions -- photos in one and CarbonCopyCloner backups in the other. The drive seems fast and it has been reliable. I love the fact that there is no power supply to plug in.

What's great about it: Charge lasts a long time. Delivers fast recharge time for my electronic flash.
What's not so great: Charging time is not real fast
This kit provides several eneloop batteries and a charger for them. I have been installing them wherever AA or AAA batteries are needed (remote keypad and trackpad, electronic flash, flashlight, magnifier w/ light). They are working well in all of those application. The batteries were well charged right in the box and they hold there charge well, so I have not even had a chance to recharge very many of them. I have not tried the adapter for C and D cells, but it looks interesting.

Can I use it to save data directly from Apple apps not running on I Cloud or I Drive?
Yes, you can open and save documents to this drive just as you can with any USB drive (thumb drive for instance). You could put an iPhoto library on the drive if you wanted to, and modifications and edits would go to the library on the drive.

Is this drive compatible with Yosemite?
Yes, I am running it with Yosemite (10.10.2). I have the 1 TB My PassPort for Mac (It says USB 3.0 on the box), and It seems to be fine running on a mid-2011 i-Mac.
