There are a lot of Miracast devices out there. A lot of bad ones, which often have connection issues and result in choppy, low quality video. The Microsoft adapter isn't one of them. Just plug in one end to an HDMI port and the other to a USB outlet for power and then it's ready to go.
A Windows device will connect most readily (As you'd expect), but it works nearly as easily with Android devices, too. A Windows tablet or laptop will detect it as an additional display, so you can actually extend your desktop to the other monitor.
When simply mirroring the display, there is about a half second of lag between the source device and the wireless adapter, so don't expect to use it for gaming. However, it delivers solid 30fps video and it perfect for casting movies or presentations to a projector.
All in all, this little dongle does its job very well.

Bluetooth speakers are a dime a dozen these days, but this "speaker brick" from Best Buy's house brand is pretty solid. No great bass, as you might expect, but relatively clear mids and highs. It definitely improves your listening experience over a tablet or phone's external speakers. As a bonus, you can also use it as a power bank to keep your phone charged.

This little module will turn any headphones with a removable cord jack into wireless Bluetooth headphones. I tried these with my noise canceling headphones and the results have been surprisingly good. Sound quality is about what you'd expect with Bluetooth, and you can even use this with an adapter cable to add Bluetooth to a soundbar speaker. Battery life is fairly good, as well.

Zootopia was a pleasant surprise: a movie all about overcoming innate prejudices and recognizing them in yourself that doesn't come off as unbearably preachy. This story about a young rabbit trying to be the first rabbit member of the Zootopia police force ends up being a heartfelt lesson in how readily we all force everyone around us into convenient categories that set our expectations. Judy Hopps is a small, "puny" rabbit, and so nobody on the force takes her seriously or wants her there. Nick Wilde is a fox who's forced to be a con artist because that's what foxes are expected to be. Both are unwilling partners in a plot reminiscent of the Nick Nolte/Eddie Murphy film "48 Hours" as they race to solve a missing persons case that ends up setting one half of Zootopia against the other.
It used to be that you could count on Pixar to deliver truly groundbreaking animated films, while Disney Animation turned out safer, blander fare. However, with recent hits like Tangled, Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph, and now Zootopia, Disney Animation has become every bit as creative and groundbreaking as their corporate sibling. May they continue their winning streak.

Star Wars can be likened almost unto a religion at this point, such is the sway it holds over the imaginations of some people, so reviewing this movie can be a little daunting. That said, I loved this movie when it came out and continue to do so after several viewings. Yes, it's definitely hitting a few derivative beats with the original Episode 4, but I found all the new characters compelling and I'd be more than happy to see future movies featuring any of them.
I don't think I need to go into the content of the disc, since more than enough's been written about the movie at this point. That said, this is a good Blu-Ray release, with a great transfer (as might be expected in this day and age) and a few extras that I'm likely never to watch unless really bored.
If you liked the movie the in the theaters, then buy a copy and don't be held hostage to a streaming service that might lose the franchise later when negotiations break down.

I was in need of a backup phone while my main one was in for repairs, and was very lucky when Best Buy had this on sale for only $20. Now, this is nowhere near what you'd call a flagship phone, with its puny 4GB of internal storage (only about 1.4GB of which is available for apps) and what would now be considered a low-res display. However, it gets the job done and would be a fine first smartphone for a child or perhaps someone who only needs it to occasionally browse the web or check their mail.
It's small, has decent battery life for its size, and even runs Android Marshmallow, which is something my Zenfone 2 can't boast as of yet. The only strike against mine was that it seems to have a dead pixel on the display. Still, it was purchased as a backup phone, and I'm once again a bit amazed by what $20 can buy you these days.

The Chromecast is designed to be a pure streaming adapter, to be used with either a computer or mobile device on your wifi network. Just select video on your device from the service of your choice, like YouTube or Netflix, then choose to cast and it'll magically appear on your TV. It actually streams HBO Go better than my full media PC. For $35 (or less), it's a great alternative to the Roku.

I think the Cricket Wifi management software may be to blame. While you can sign into captive portal wifi (i.e. Public hotspots that send a sign in web page to your phone) with the Cricket Wifi manager activated, it never seems to work when the manager is deactivated.

have 8" Fire HD8 - it's an android- hate it so getting windows tablet. Fire would not let me access Wifi anywhere but at home or work-I was at Denny's & a medical clinic yesterday & needed directions to go elsewhere. Will this use same cover?
The cover will more than likely fit the general body of the tablet, but you may run into problems with openings for the various ports and buttons on the side. You might have to take an X-acto knife to it in order to make openings for the Insignia tablet's controls. Another thing to consider is rear camera placement. Does your cover have an opening for one? Is it in the right place? Does this matter to you at all?

No, it cannot. This keyboard isn't Bluetooth, and requires you to plug in a USB receiver to the host computer. As the ipad has no USB ports, you can't plug in the receiver.
