Great features, well known manufacturer, good ratings.
Then, after a few months of being very pleased, problems! The bluetooth would cut out after about a minute of a song. So I connected to Pandora to supplement, that too cuts out after about a minute. I thought maybe the problem was internet connection, so I connected a flash drive via USB, that too cuts out after about a minute.
Unless I want to listen to FM radio (which I never do), I get about a minute - maybe 1.5 minutes - from my $500 receiver before it stops playing and tries to restart the source.
But, for those first few months, it was awesome.

At times it is a solid 5 stars, at times it doesn't deserve even 1. Mine has issues syncing with my ipad, and the charger will often decide it doesn't want to charge, sometimes requiring 10 or more reorienting "tries" to get the device charging. (Microsoft has issues with their magnetic chargers, they seem very cool, but they are terrible at long-term function. My Surface stopped charging correctly, my son's Surface stopped charging correctly, now my band is having issues in the first month of use. For me, that is 0 for 3 with Microsoft hardware.To me, the message is now clear: BUY APPLE!)
The software is okay, it is slow and the band doesn't want to stay connected via bluetooth for long.
The whole thing worked better when I had a Windows phone. But that is another review, another set of "sometimes awesome, sometimes terrible" circumstances.

What's great about it: Um...
What's not so great: Everything
I have a sound bar, was looking to upgrade. I owned this for about 20 hours, it was on the wall and playing for about 3. The best I could muster is, "It sounds OK."
At medium volumes, the sub rattled like something was loose inside (or on the grill.) I checked both, nothing obvious, just rattles at volume.
And, on the sub, it is way too localized. Once things were dialed in to sound good at usual sound levels, any loud scenes immediately made the sub's location very, very obviously.
Lastly, the final nail in the proverbial coffin: I was constantly making minor tweaks. I like that the center channel can be adjusted, but it was in need of constant adjustment. I would back it off for certain scenes and would have to bring it back up for others.
In the end, I returned the setup. It was entirely and completely "OK", but for $1600, I expected much, much more, especially as a long-time fan of Def Tech speakers.

Set up easily, had issues immediately with choosing the right input. Then, 2 months in, the sub died. And Toshiba won't send another (thankfully) but will send a coupon. It stinks so bad, they aren't replacing them!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Operating Toshiba Channel Soundbar system?
We bought an open box Toshiba 2.1 Channel Soundbar System with 6-1/2 Wireless Subwoofer at Best Buy and it came with no instructions. We have it hooked up but how do you make it work with the remote control? Thank you.
No special instructions, it should work out of the box with the remote.
Dumb question: have you checked the batteries in the remote?
Good luck with yours, mine lasted a few months then died. I shipped it back to Toshiba for a refund, they wouldn't even send me another unit, just money - which worked out much more to my liking.

No, bluetooth works between source and output, you have 2 outputs. How would a speaker connect to another speaker? And why?
