What's great about it: new body colors, wifi, stereo mic, quality
What's not so great: flexible monitor moved some buttons to confusing places
I have other Nikon products and I love the attention to quality that Nikon represents. Also, the new body colors are great. I bought the red, but they also have a bronze/goldish color that is very nice. anything on a professional DSLR except black!! I like the flexible monitor, which helps someone like myself who is shorter in stature (5'4") and needs to hold the camera above my head in crowds at parades or other public events. By turning the monitor face down I do not have to be at the same level of the camera which is a help. I love the WiFi capability and with the optional adapter you can immediately send the picture to your smartphone. Then you can send from your smartphone to Facebook or Instagram or Twitter as usual. It would be nice to go directly to the online site, but this is acceptable. The camera body typically comes with a 18-55 lens, which is just a general everyday type of use lens, no micro or zoom capability. You will find yourself looking at other lenses to buy. Consider all options, if necessary, buy the body by itself and a micro or zoom or better everyday lens (18-200) and you will be happy. An optional battery is a good idea, but wait and see if you really need it. Typically the SD cards have more room than you need, i do not recommend you go out and immediately get a 32 GB - for most people even a 16 GB is more than adequate. An 8 GB is good for everyday use. If you anticipate a lot of HiDef video at 1080p quality, get a 16GB. I also recommend a CaseLogic Day Holster - Best Buy always has competitive prices. Overall, this is a very nice camera, beautiful color, lots of features and no one can beat the Best Buy prices.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Is there a camero/video recorder that you can take a picture and a video with the same device?

almost all camera have this capability. Nikon, Canon, Sony, etc - all the cameras out now that our SLR, even entry level such as Nikon 3100 or 3200, have the ability to take hidef 1080 video. remember, the memory need is greater so be sure to advantage of the great buys this weekend at best buy on memory sticks.

what is the real difference between the Nikon D7000 or D7100?

Is it worth getting the 7100 over the 7000 when upgrading?
very very little. if you are relatively new to photography, or not a professional photographer, save the money and go for 7000

Is the Nikon D7000 Bundle available still in stores?

I bought the Nikon D7000 not reazling that there was an additional bundle available. Now it is sold out online. Is it still available in stores? Can I pay the difference? Can I buy in store and then cancel the online order?
Thank you
Generally, if you bought it at a large retailer such as best buy, or a nikon store, they will give you some credit towards the extra lenses available in a bundle or a price discount. Since this is black friday weekend, you may even get a few more dollars off with some type of coupon or whatever. when bundles are sold out on line, it typically means that nikon is getting ready to come out the next year with an upgraded camera. This is the case with the nikon 5200, there is now an upgraded camera that has the wifi built in, instead of the adapter. if you did buy the camera on line with best buy and have not received it yet, you are in a good position. see if they will order in a store and then cancel the order on line.

All GPS works outside US ?

Never used a GPS before. I live in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and wonder if a GPS bought in US will also works in Brazil ?
it will only work if software is available by download or other means for south america countries. People by a GPS in the country of their origin and it typically comes with that country. You usually go on line and download other countries or continents for extra money, but only if the GPS can handle that. Some are cheaper and cannot. So, most likely the hardware is ok with a current converter, but there will be no software available unless you research on line first. Generally, then the answer is no,

However, do research on Google. Enter a search query of "international GPS products" or a variation of that and begin to do your research. Good luck.

Nikon D3200 or Nikon D5200

My wife is new to photography and would like a DSLR. I am not sure if I should get the D3200 or pre-order the D5200.

Being a beginner is the D5200 going to be too much or is it better to start with the D5200 and allow her to grow into that camera.
i imagine this may be too late, but i am hoping you got the 3200. the reason is, people either get into photography or they do not. it is always best to start with the basic and grow into a better model if needed when using and SLR camera. In fact, i would have recommended to this person to get a 3100, which is still available in some places. I always caution people NOT to get hooked in by extra megapixels. 99 percent of people will not tell the difference between 24 MGP and 16 MGP.
