The Acer 11.6” HD-Chromebook 311-Intel Celeron N4000-4GB Memory-32GB eMMC is a minimalist device and it is priced as such. That means no touch screen or backlit keyboard etc. That being said, this device for the price they are asking is a good device with a keyboard that has a good feel to it and a screen that is an acceptable 720p HD that gets plenty bright plus the speakers sound good enough to make watching videos enjoyable. I would definitely get a small thumb drive to stick in one of its usb ports or the microSD Card slot for extra storage. I was looking for a small device that I could easily tote around the house like to the kitchen so I can watch YouTube while I cook or eat. The truth is I have a 15.6 inch touch screen laptop and I never use the touch screen function much at all. I use a wireless mouse. So I do not think most people need a bunch of fancy extra features that they probably will not use. I think most people use a laptop the same way they use their desktop. At least that's how I am just out of habit. This device is very small and light and easy to take with you even in a purse if you are female that carries one. If you are looking for a very portable little laptop and use chrome for everything on your desktop like my family this is a great option at a good price. This device does what it is supposed to do and while it may not have the highest resolution screen and all of the fancy bells and whistles I found it to be quite enjoyable to use because the screen looked good and the speakers even sound good. Not only that it responded quickly to any action I took on it whether it be turning it on opening an app or starting up the browser. If you are looking for a low priced chromebook with a small footprint this is a good choice!

The new Asus 28” 4k Tuf Gaming series monitor featuring a WLED IPS screen is very impressive for the asking price. I have several high-end monitors that cost more and this Asus is hanging right in there with them. The colors are brilliant and gaming in 4k with this monitor is awesome if you have a good enough card to push it. To start with while unboxing and assembling the stand I noticed that this monitor has some weight to it and definitely seems built tough as the series name would indicate. It has a very appealing design and with the small bezel and awesome stand that articulates in every direction yes even vertically. You can also lower and raise it by sliding it and everything is very smooth. I have it hooked up with a DisplayPort cable that I already had hooked up to my PC but the monitor comes with one. This is the first time I have seen a monitor come with a displayport cable which I was also impressed by and happy to see. I did not have any issues playing games with this monitor and I can tell the difference moving from 2k to 4k while it’s not near as noticeable as moving from 1080p to 2k or 4k it is still definitely worth upgrading to a 4k monitor if you can afford the graphics card to push it. I am actually surprised that this monitor does not cost more because the screen quality is very good if you can live with the 60hz refresh rate. It is plenty bright and details are sharp with great color reproduction. It also has built-in speakers but they lacked good range on the low end but I use a headset so I do not really care about that. This monitor has a push-button/joystick menu control on the back right that is the easiest to use controls for a monitor menu that I have ever used. I really like the implementation of the joystick. It is the first time I have seen or used one like it. Unless you just can not live without a higher refresh rate and can afford paying for it, this Asus Tuf Gaming monitor is a good choice for 4k gaming and general everyday use as well.

After using many gaming keyboards a including a couple of wireless and some mechanical keyboards of different brands I am very impressed with my first experience with the Roccat brand. At first I thought I may be disappointed with a non mechanical membrane based keyboard. However, it turns out I really like the Roccat Magma key design and responsiveness of the membrane design. It is very smooth and and the button firmness seems spot on. I also like the Roccat Swarm software suite to control the lighting and sign keys. While I love the idea of the fully backlit keyboard face I stiil can not decide if it is a little overbearing on my eyes at times. I suppose i can work with it to adjust that to get it just right for my eyes. Additionally, I really like the palm rest is very helpful to support my wrist and palms for typing. No problems with Ghosting for me with it either. For me I am very happy with this Roccat Magma and look forward to using it for quite some time going forward. It seems very well made and strikes a nice balance between responsiveness and comfort that make it a joy to use for me. I would definitely recommend this keyboard and I am very impressed with my experience with the Roccat Brand!

The Brother MFCJ1205W INKvestment printer seems like Brothers entry-level INKvestment printer seeing that it is just your basic 3in1 Print, Copy and Scan printer. However, it does come with wireless technology by the way of WIFI and has an app called Brother Mobile Connect that enables you to print any document or picture you desire from your phone. The app is very well laid out and easy to use. I would have liked to have seen more info on the different ways to set up the printer on the network with direct connect and using the IP address of the printer and cloud print in the set up instructions. The easiest way to get it online is to just add it to your network during set up on your computer when it gives you the choice. I tried setting it to local on the computer it was connected to and it still prompted me to let it be connected to the internet on a couple of the additional steps for diagnostics and ink management etc. I was going to connect it local and use direct connect to print from my phone and I could not get it to work that way like I have before with other printers. It may do it but with the Brother software suite installed on the computer they really want the printer online so they can tell you when to buy more Brother ink for it and for diagnostics as well as the online suite that is available. I just went ahead and installed all of the software including the extra document handling software that seemed to be quite useful and included pdf software. The MFCJ1205W holds a lot of paper in the slide out paper tray. I do not know if it is 250 sheets but it seemed like at least 150 maybe 200. More than twice as much as the old printer it replaced. It also has easy-to-access ink tanks on the right front of the printer. You just open up a door and there is a separate compartment for just the ink rather than having to open up half the printer to replace cartridges like other inkjet printers I have had. I really loved the ease of access and simplicity involved with changing ink tanks. Another feature I liked was the hideaway USB cord connection on the side under the scanner lid. Additionally, I noticed is that for a compact all-in-one printer the Brother MFCJ1205W has some weight to it and feels like it is very well built and sturdy. For anyone looking for a simple 3in1 printer without a document feeder or fax capability, this is actually the best one I have come across and the fact that you can get it for $99.00 and it is an INKvestment printer with large capacity ink tanks available makes it a great deal to me. I would not hesitate to recommend it!

The Sony Blu-Ray/DVD Player model BDP-BX370 seems to be a great deal for the features you get at the asking price. I had no problem setting it up with my other hardware which includes my TV, soundbar with subwoofer, and Dish receiver. I was easily able to add it to my remote via my harmony hub by plugging it into my PC and adding the device into the Master bedroom setup using the watch a movie button on my remote to activate the necessary hardware. The Player comes with YouTube and is miracast capable which is great but when I tried using it from my wifes phone and casting to the TV via the Blu-Ray player the picture looked bad. I ended up just signing out from the phone and signing her into her YouTube account on the player and then used a wired connection for the internet. It should not have been a problem with wireless considering we have gigabit fiber service and Netgear Orbi’s all over the house. It could have been due to some type of interference, not really sure but I expected better. The Sony BDP-BX370 has a good user interface that was easy to navigate and it also has a nice controller as well as a decent assortment of available apps for streaming. My wife wants to use it for dance exercise videos and I was impressed by the picture it produced from a regular DVD. It was very sharp and clear! I did notice the sound was not as loud compared to when we are watching TV through the Dish system for some reason but we can just turn it up or I may be able to change some settings for that. I put it on surround so maybe I should set it to stereo and try that. It has other sound settings as well like PCM and Dolby so there is a comprehensive settings menu. I would say for the price you can’t go wrong if you are looking for a 1080p Blu-Ray/DVD player; it has to upscale built-in for older DVDs to make them look close to 1080p. Overall it is very feature-packed for an item at the price point it is set at and I would not hesitate to recommend it to someone.

This is my first experience with a Lorex security camera system as well as my first experience with a completely wireless system. I was skeptical about having battery-operated cameras and concerned about how long they would last between charges. With the Lorex 2K QHD Wire-Free Security system and both cameras set at 1080p with motion detection and person detection both on the default medium setting and sound turned on I only lose about 5% of battery charge in 24hrs with an average of four detections for each camera in the 24hr time period. I am impressed with the battery life. It exceeded my expectations by a very big margin. The setup of the system was a bit frustrating especially getting the cameras connected to the hub. The first camera I tried to connect just kept timing out and not only that the instructions are not nearly detailed enough regarding the button pushing to get the camera in pairing mode. They tell you where to find the button but they do not say whether to hold the button down or just click and release. I finally removed the battery from the first one and had immediate success pairing the second camera which I quickly took out and mounted to the base I had already screwed into it’s location and it worked with no problem. Then with the second camera, I reset it and got it to pair after several more attempts. I then proceeded to take camera #2 and mount it. Once mounted they are able to pivot any direction since they are mounted to a ball joint. They mount facing upward from the mounting position however there is a setting that allows you to flip the cameras 180 degrees if you need to. I have been able to view each camera with my phone at work and get notifications every time a person is detected on my phone as well as my connected smartwatch both Android and top name brand in the industry that starts with S. I can take pictures from anywhere with my phone speak through the camera to someone like at the front door. Record video on demand from anywhere with the push of a button on my phone. Below each camera view on your phone when you have one open for viewing there is a suite of buttons that lets you control the camera from anywhere that you have an internet connection. It is very comprehensive giving you complete control of the cameras and even has a very loud siren you can turn on to scare intruders off. The volume of the siren the resolution of the camera the sound and everything else can be adjusted on the fly with your phone. The setting and the app, in general, are very comprehensive and very well thought out and a complete package that it appears they took the time to get right before release. The cameras which I have set to 1080p because I am running them on the batteries produce clear colorful pictures and video and have a nice wide viewing angle. I have found that if you have an outside light source that it is best to turn the night vision off for the camera near the light source. We have a big light high up on a pole in one part of our yard and with night vision off it almost looks as good as daylight with that light source which is up high and point down toward the ground and about 40ft from the camera and higher in the air. I would suggest a light source in that configuration or pointing away in the same direction as the camera. The night vision is in black and white and is acceptable and works but the cameras pick up light very well so you could definitely use a motion-activated light or dusk to dawn light near your camera to always have a view in color that looks nearly as good as daylight. They do have built-in lights but they seem to be just to let someone know they are being watched and can be set to turn on when a person is detected or other motion. The person detection and motion detection have sliding scales and are set to the middle by default and that is where I left them set which seems to be good. I love that they include a Western Digital Micro SD card and that there are no monthly fees charged for using the cameras or for storage. The app actually created three folders on my phone in the gallery called snapshot, thumb and video. I love that because that means all of my pictures and videos are getting automatically backed up to google photos. I am very impressed with this system. The batteries last a long time and you can check the camera battery level with your phone while you have a camera open in each individual camera's settings. They only come on when they see movement and every aspect of the camera's features can be fine-tuned to your liking from anywhere with the app on your phone. I was a bit skeptical about them being completely wireless and running on battery but it makes them so much easier to install and it actually does not appear to be much of an issue they seem to go a long time between charges. If you are looking for an easy to install security camera system that you do not have to run wires for the Lorex brand would be a great choice. This Lorex 2K QHD Wire-Free Security System is top-notch and very well done from hardware to the app software. Other than the initial difficulty I had pairing one of the cameras everything else has been great. I am thinking about adding one or two more already. If you move around a lot these are also easy to take down and bring them with you to set up wherever you may be. That’s a great feature! I would not hesitate to buy this Lorex system again!

The Tucano Galaxy Tab A 8-inch case is very well made and feels great in the hands. The plastic inner section is molded well and fits my Tab A-8 well. The cutouts on the side for the buttons and the cut-out for the back camera also line up well. The cover folds up to serve as a kickstand for landscape viewing of videos and has a nice angle to its stance. What stands out the most to me compared to other cases I have had is the texture. It feels very grippy which is a good way to keep from dropping your Tablet! If you need a cover for your tablet with a built-in kickstand I would say this is a good choice!

The Wahl Bump Free Electric Razor is the best electric razor that I have used. It is the first one of it’s kind that I have ever tried and it is much more aggressive and capable compared to the old 3 circle type with a flat head. I have been using it almost exclusively just because it is so much quicker and easier to use compared to using a razor and shaving cream. It gets everything off really well everywhere except for some spots under the jawline. For some reason, I have trouble getting a really close shave in spots in that area. It’s not too big of a deal just not quite as good as a razor with shaving cream. Maybe over time, I will figure out how to do better there I am not sure. I know they said something about giving yourself time to get used to it if you are switching in the instructions. I am not quite sure if that means my facial hair my ability with the tool or both. Regardless, I am very impressed with this razor it is very powerful and does a great job for an electric razor. I definitely think that the design of it is superior to others I have used and just out of pure convenience I have picked it up to shave every time I needed to since I acquired it. One time last week I used a razor with shaving cream after using this to get the hard to eliminate jawline hair and to see if it would shave any closer overall. With the exception of getting the jawline hairs, I did not notice my face being smoother anywhere else. Whether you are looking to switch over completely to an electric or just want to have another alternative for when you are in a rush the Wahl Bump Free Razor is a great choice that is equipped with a slide-up trimmer built into the back that also works well and is easy to use and access.

The Galaxy Buds Pro True Wireless Earbuds are a very well-executed product with an excellent combination of hardware and software that is very well integrated. Not only that the features are well executed on the software side and the hardware stands out with excellent form and fit topped off with a great sound stage. I have many Bluetooth headsets of all types and forms and these Galaxy Pro True Wireless Earbuds are at the top of the pack in many aspects.
Starting off the fact that they are integrated into the Galaxy Wear suite with my Galaxy S3 Frontier Smartwatch is a wise move that simplifies and integrates your Galaxy phone very well with its counterparts developing a seamless system without losing any software features as well as providing a quality execution of the features. First of all the Galaxy Buds Pro Voice recognition feature is top-notch. It enables you to be listening to or viewing media and when it hears your voice it mutes the sound level down very low so you can comfortably carry on a conversation with someone. Then it automatically unmutes after 10 seconds of not hearing your voice. A second feature that I do have on some of my other headsets is ambient sound. However, the Galaxy Buds Pro headset lets you control the level extensively and works so well that I find myself having to turn it down at times. The touch controls for controlling media playback and answering and ending phone calls also work well and can be turned off in settings if you find yourself accidentally touching them enough to annoy you or you would just prefer using your phone or watch to control them instead. My experience with phone calls has been very good as well with crystal clear conversations. This brings me to the sound quality aspect of this headset it is top-notch however there are a few things to note here. First, the absolute best sound is with the equalizer set to normal, active noise canceling on and set to low. However, the sound quality in ambient noise mode is very good as well which I prefer to use at about the 75% mark while out and around others when I want to be able to hear my surroundings. You have the ambient sound slider under the noise control bar in the settings and then under advanced, there is a maximize ambient sound to further boost the ambient sound which is when it can get annoying at times unless you have significant hearing loss then they serve as somewhat of a hearing aid. There is also a setting to turn on or off notifications that just simply states what type of notification you received like email for example or text message or it will read the full content out with this option available in Alarm, Email, Incoming call, Messages and Missed Call. It also includes an option of whether or not you want them read while your in a phone call which I can not see that being preferable personally.
In conclusion, I would say I am very impressed with Samsungs execution with the Galaxy Buds Pro. My impression is that while other headsets have some of the same features that I have none of them have the amount or range of control found within the settings of the Wear app. Samsung seems to have put a lot of effort into getting these right. The one thing I did notice is that when I had them at full volume while using YouTube Music they would cut the volume back automatically when a song was hitting a high point like a singer topping out their vocal range. I did not find a way to turn this apparent safety feature off however it did not ever happen with the sound one notch down from full volume. Samsung to me really put forth the effort to make this headset worth the purchase price in my opinion. They have outstanding clarity and range in sound but I did find they can get bottomed out in some songs with a lot of bass even with the equalizer set to normal but only while at full volume with my phone’s Dolby sound setting turned on. Once again this was only while at full volume. I would highly recommend this headset to anyone that can afford the price. They are also getting included in some of the new Samsung Galaxy S21 phone package deals as well I believe so you could possibly go that route and obtain a set at a great value. Whatever route you choose to take I believe you will be very impressed with the Galaxy Buds Pro. You can tell a lot of effort went into every aspect of their production and I do not see anyone that attains a set being disappointed with their choice!

At just over 2” tall, the sound bar can easily fit under your TV without blocking its remote sensor, and with 2 keyhole slots coupled the unit can also be mounted to any flat surface offering a variety of placement options.

The Polk Magnify 2 is a great addition to your TV. I am impressed with this soundbar and wireless subwoofer system. I have a less expensive soundbar with a small built-in subwoofer that sounded pretty good but lacked a true low end. The Magnify 2 will give you a full sound stage that is crisp and clear with good separation. What it will not do is completely blow you away like a full 5 or 7.1 surround with a dedicated amp/receiver like some of my other systems have. I have several 5.1, 7.1 systems and a couple of soundbars. I am an audiophile type of person and I am impressed with the clarity of this Polk system.
First, the unboxing and setup was fairly simple following the instructions that it came with. I mounted ours to my homemade bracket under my TV that is wall mounted with a fully articulating TV wall mount system in our bedroom. This is the only way to go folks. It lets you point the TV and soundbar in any direction you want at the same time. We watch TV in bed and sometimes on a couch that is on the other side of our bedroom. With this system since bass is omnidirectional, it works perfectly. I was able to easily set up our satellite receiver, TV and soundbar on our Universal remote without any issues. Besides drilling new holes in the mount everything was fairly easy. Once all set up we began watching some TV and were immediately impressed by the new sound we had in our bedroom. My wife said it sounds like a theatre in here. I also connected to the soundbar with the Google Home app and it immediately asked if I wanted to sync with my SiriusXM service which I did. Additionally, I chose YouTube music as the default music streaming service since we have the YouTube premium service. With that, you can connect to the Google Home app and can jump into the YouTube Music app from there. You can also cast from other apps like SiriusXM by touching the cast button from within those apps. What I did find somewhat disappointing though is that there is not a full-blown Google assistant built into the speaker like I thought there was. You need to have a separate Google Home speaker to enable a fully functional google assistant and a regular Chromecast is still needed to cast pictures and videos. The built-in Chromecast is just for casting music. Which to me is still a great feature but you can just use Bluetooth to do that as well which works with any app or source from your phone while the Chromecast feature is limited to certain apps. The only issue we have had with it so far is it seems to automatically turn off after a set amount of time. I will need to look into that and see if it is something I can disable so it does not go out of sync with our universal remote and the other hardware in our system. We do not want to have to be using the soundbar remote to turn it back on all the time when are just taking a break from watching TV and have it paused between shows. Another thing I would like to see is an app that goes with the system to give me more control over the sound settings to fine-tune it more with an EQ. I also have read an article that stated there is supposed to be some wireless Polk SR2 speakers coming out for this system in January of 2021.
Overall, we are very happy with our new sound system it is a big improvement over our stand-alone soundbar that did not have a separate subwoofer. This system will give you a great soundstage and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple solution to creating a full range of theatre-like experience without having to run wires. Since the subwoofer is wireless and the Polk SR2 surround speakers that are supposed to be coming out soon are also wireless it is very easy to get set up!

So does this camera use a SIM card from a cellular plan? And will it notify my phone when activated.
It only works with the AT&T sim card provided and has monthly and yearly subscription plans that allow you to view photos and get notifications from anywhere you are with an internet connection on any phone with the Vosker app installed.

I would think that if it is in standby mode the screen would be off so it should not be consuming much power if any at all since it's primary function is to display images.

Can this monitor be turned for a vertical view as well?
Yes, it can! I have two other monitors that can be turned vertical as well but this Asus monitor is very well put together and swivels, tilts and turns very smoothly. I am impressed by the build quality.
