What's great about it: Stylish, Effective, Informative, Awesome
What's not so great: Short battery, Looking like a Dick Tracey
The great thing about the Moto 360 is that the Moto 360 is itself a great thing!
The notifications are great and convenient, and there are already quite a few applications for Android Wear to do some pretty spiffy things.
The downside is that the battery is 300mA, not 320mA like Moto is advertising, and the accelerometer/gyro sensor wakes the device constantly while driving. I lose 20% battery per hour behind the wheel.
When not driving, or when the watch is stationary and off my wrist while driving, I can wear the watch from 6 AM to 10 PM and have 35%+ battery remaining.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does it have an always on watch face?

This depends on the build. It seems that the build loaded on the one sold at BestBuy has this option. The one loaded on the watch sold direct by Motorola does not have the option to keep the face on (Ambient mode) but has several more watch faces.
