DO NOT buy this case...I bought this case 2 days ago for my ipod, meticulously followed the instructions for instillation. I was a bit skeptical about how water protectant this case was because it only has a stick on face to secure it, and I even expressed this to my spouse and a co-worker. I put a little water on it to test it and it looked to be ok, so I took it in the pool to take an underwater picture just under the surface of the water and it wasn't waterproof at all and my Ipod is ruined...worse thing about it, I called life proof and the water warrantee is only valid if the case is purchased at Verizon at a higher cost!!! Well, I think this should be noted on the front of the packaging that they do not stand by the waterproofing that they claim the case is. I am not done with this matter and will be fighting with them even further!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

can my ipod5 be submerged under water like an iphone using a lifeproof case?

i am just asking if i pod can fall in a puddle of water and not get wet can i also video tape under water like other people do with the iphone 5 in its lifeproof case?
Don't trust this case it ruined my ipod and they won't replace it!!

If I drop it in a lake can it float back up to the surface if not can you recommend any cases or attachments that I can get to help it float back up to the surface?

It's not waterproof as they claim and they will not help you when your device is ruined DO NOT BUY THIS CASE!!!!
