Hardware specs are good, price is great, but due to a poorly developed Android image (and no maintenance from Insignia) the tablet is almost unusable. I spent 3 weeks working with Insignia support, and Geek Squad to try to resolve the issues I encountered (general erratic behavior, severe sluggishness, in ability to search for updates). I finally was informed that Best Buy/Insignia don't create their Android distro's, they license them from another company. This means that the tablets DON'T get updates, and if the factory image needs to be re-applied neither Insignia or Geek Squad have access to it to perform the necessary work. Neither Insignia support or Geek Squad could point me towards the company that creates the Android images used.
Overall - stay away from this, for the same price you can get a DigiLand tablet that performs better. For a little more you can get the Acer Iconia One 10 that performs significantly better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Average
What's not so great: Drive becomes unavilable during large file transfers
I own two of these units (2TB & a 4TB), and am experiencing the same issue with both. During large file count, or high data amount transfers (i.e. backups) the device disconnects from the operating system and becomes unavailable. I have spent 2 days troubleshooting with Western Digital with no resolution. A quick google search turns up that this a prevalent issue with Western Digital USB 3.0 drives. In some cases upgrading the drive firmware or your local USB drives resolves the issue (it did not in my case). In my opinion this device is not worth the hassle.
This product has... Fast, Quiet, Large capacity/good size
About me... Budget Conscious, Technology guru, Work with large multimedia files, Business Professional, Need a simple backup solution
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are having problems to keep wi-fi conection. It conects and a few seconds later it falls. We bougth it in CA and now I´m in Brazil. I need a help to discover it´s problem because we don´t have a Best Buy Store here to complain.

Looking at the Insignia Community Forums this is a common issue. Unfortunately neither Insignia or Geek Squad have access to the Android image file or updates to provide them to you to fix. I returned mine due to the large number of issues I had and the inability of Insignia or Geek Squad to resolve them.

does this tablet have otg

I believe so, I successfully connected a USB thumb drive and mouse without any issues.

Warranty information

What is the Manufacture's Warranty and can you get an extended warranty?
1 Year (30 days for basic install). The only warranty extension I am aware of would be through a third party (like Best Buy).

Does WD stand for Western Digital. AC powered Hard Drives are faster than just USB?

Yes WD Stands for Western Digital. AC powered vs USB could be an indicator a faster spinning drive, but does not necessarily translate into faster transfer speeds.
