I purchased this SSD to upgrade my late 2011 macbook pro. I am amazed at the instant performance increase. I downloaded Carbon Copy Cloner to migrate my data. Extremely simple app to use. After completing the conversion, I installed Blackmagic Speed Disk Test from the app store to put it to the test. I am averaging 487MB/s write and 508MB/s read. Not quite the estimates Samsung claims, but extremely satisfied with these results. Probably can achieve the 520MB/s write and 540MB/s read on a PC using Samsung's Magician software. Unfortunately this is not available for mac. Highly recommend this SSD.

What's great about it: The volume level

What's not so great: subwoofer is ok

I read several poor reviews on this product. I feel these reviews were due to improperly installing this system and not being familiar with the HDMI ARC feature. The installation guide clearly states to mount the sound bar 2" below your tv. It also states to wrap the power cord on the subwoofer in two loops and place them inside the included magnetic ferrite. This is to prevent any radio interference on the subwoofer. The subwoofer utilizes the 2.4Ghz band which is the same band as most laptops, tablets, smart tv's, cell phones and some phone handsets. Not using the magnetic ferrite on your subwoofer will result in a poor connection to the sound bar. Keep in mind, where you decide to place your subwoofer also plays a big factor in the sound quality. In my case, placing the subwoofer directly underneath my sound bar which is 2" below my tv resulted in very good sound quality and 3D surround sound effect. Also, just to save you a lot of time, if you are planning to use the HDMI ARC feature, enable the HDMI CEC option on all of the devices you are planning on connecting to. You will also need to enable the ANYNET option on the sound bar. If your tv supports HDMI ARC, make sure you connect the HDMI ARC port on your tv to the HDMI Out port on the sound bar. That's correct, the HDMI Out port on the sound bar. Then connect your other HDMI devices to the remaining open HDMI ports on the tv as well as the HDMI In port on the sound bar. When installed and setup properly, the sound quality is very nice. The subwoofer doesn't pound, but it will give you a nice rumbling effect to those explosive scenes. I would recommend this sound bar based on the sound quality (when setup properly) the HDMI port (not many sb systems in this price range include it), having an USB port and bluetooth are also great features to have in a sound bar system. I'm sure there are other systems with better sound quality, but you will also be paying at least double the price of this one and they will not include all of the connections as this samsung does.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Will this work in a Mid 2010 MacBook Pro 13” ?

Yes it will. I used the StarTech USB 3.0 to 2.5" SATA III Hard Drive Adapter Cable w/ UASP - SATA to USB 3.0 Converter for SSD/HDD - Hard Drive Adapter Cable and Carbon Copy Cloner to clone this hard drive. Everything worked flawlessly.

No. There is a 3.5mm input port to connect an mp3 player.

would this soundbar be compatible with my panasonic tv?

This sound bar is compatible with any tv that has an HDMI port or digital optical output port.

No you don't. This system has a built in amplifier.

Yes. You can either connect through the bluetooth or the 3.5mm port.

The sound bar does come with a bracket to hang on the wall. However, it does not come with any screws.

Digital Optical Cable

Is there a Digital Optical Cable included with this soundbar or is that a separate purchase? I've heard that the best way to connect a soundbar to a TV is through a digital optical cable, so I'm wondering if I need to purchase that separately?
Also, Is it better to connect a TV directly to the soundbar using Digital Optical Cable or HDMI?

A digital optical cable is not included. Actually, using an HDMI cable would be your best choice. There are certain HD audio codecs that do not transfer over a digital optical cable. So if your connecting a blu-ray player to the sound bar using a digital optical cable, there will be some audio loss as opposed to if you used an HDMI cable.

can I use my cable remote to control the volume or do I need to use the soundbar's remote?

You can, if your cable remote can be programmed as an universal remote. Or if your cable box or tv support HDMI ARC. Please read my review on the Samsung HWF550 to have a better understanding of how this feature needs to be setup.
