When the printer works, it's quite nice. Wireless printing feature was easy to set up and we really like the color LCD menu display feature on the front. The menus are quite intuitive. We also like the individual ink color tanks instead of just having one for black and one for CMY as many other printers do.
Having said that, finding a day when this printer will actually print something is 50/50. Have contacted Epson 2x only to have them send me new ink tanks which fixed the issue the first time but not the second. Could not get them to send a new machine or a refurb. and it is too late to return this one to BB. It skips some colors on some prints altogether or partially. It's quite erratic. Every once in a while after we've cleaned the print heads and done nozzle checks and all that, it MIGHT print something well enough to use.
Update: After three head cleaning passes and 2 nozzle checks, I got a usable coupon with barcode. Hope that helps someone who has this printer already and is looking for help with this issue!
All in all, if it were not for having to coax it into printing cleanly as often as I do, I would have given this printer 4 stars. (Not 5 as I think there is some room for improvement over print crispness)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

How do photos come out that have been scanned in?

As far as looking at the on the computer and then posting them to the web / Facebook, very well. I have not yet printed one I have scanned in yet though. I have been scanning old family photos for other family members to enjoy and it even picks up flaws in the photo print itself (which can be fixed with most generic photo editors) I have been pretty happy with the scanner thus far! Hope that helps :)
