 LG - Tone+ Wireless Headset - Black
LG - Tone+ Wireless Headset - Black
LG Tone+ Bluetooth Headset: Gain call flexibility at the office. A built-in microphone keeps you from having to pull out your phone for incoming calls, while voice-activated dialing keeps hands free for other work. When you're not chatting you can listen to your favorite music.

What's great about it: Comfort, ease of use, features, battery life, sound quality
What's not so great: Range, transmitter/reciever continually loses connections
This is an awesome headset - if you can get it to work. Apparently the Apple people don't seem to have much issue with this headset, but for everyone else, if you carry your phone any lower than your chest, this thing has HORRIBLE reception. I've tried using this headset with 3 different Samsung (Galaxy S, S2, & S4) phones and the song it plays the most is the nice ladies' voice continually saying "Connected" (when she's not) and then "Out of range... Trying to connect..." when the phone is less than 3 feet away! Finally, after going in circles with the connection issues it confuses the phones so much that they finally crash and reboot.
Now, if this is LG's way of having a little fun with Samsung, I'd get it. Ha ha. But since I don't see a notice of their little joke in the manual or on their website, I'm going to assume they're playing fair. I read on other sites about the range on this headset not being to good, but since I never would be using the thing without the phone ever leaving my body, I didn't care about the maximum range of it, just that it could give me a meter or two of good sound. Apparently, I was sorely mistaken.
I'll be taking these back in the morning and then getting online to find the older model without all the issues. Too bad...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Has many people returned these due to sound clarity for the iphone5?

I'm taking mine back tomorrow. The sound in mine were great - it was maintaining a quality connection that crippled them. These are probably some of the best sounding earbuds I've had (and I've gone through at least 25-30 pairs over the last 5-7 years). If you go out and look for the regular LG Tone's (without the "+" in the model), you'll probably be much happier. Everyone tells me they are very high on sound quality without the Bluetooth receiver issues the Tone+ has.
