What's great about it: Extremely Fast
What's not so great: Keyboard is a must, kickstand is only 2 position

What's great about it: DPI Sensitivity Level
What's not so great: Doesn't work well on glass
There's absolutely no lag between cursor and mouse because of the 2.4Ghz nano wireless USB receiver.

Can you load and run AutoCad 2013?
Yes, AutoCAD and MicroStation both work perfectly on the surface. I purchased a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI.

Does the surface pro 2 have a slot in the tablet itself that you can plug in an 8 or 16 GB San Disk without having to use some kind of additional adapter with it?
Yes. There is a microSDXC card reader and a USB 3.0 port

How do you turn on the Dell S2440L LED Monitor? Is it on the right edge and touch only?
I have powered it up and connected the cable to dell XPS 400 and no picture
Since you have power, more than likely your input source is not set correctly. Try switching to Auto by utilizing the controls along the right edge of the monitor.
