I purchased this because my work hours changed to the evenings. I had to find a way to be able to watch MLB, NBA and NHL games in the evenings. This does the job and does it well. The box is connected to my Comcast Xfinity box. I purchased the Android app which I was able to load on my phone as well as on my Kindle fire HD. 5 stars for having no issues after nearly a year of using it.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Is the 350 or other Sling Box options compatible with Amazon Fire TV or Fire Stick?

I want to use Amazon Streaming capability with the remote TV using both the Fire TV apps but also Sling Box to watch TV.

Yes, Amazon has an app for the Slingbox. You can download it on the Fire stick or the FIre TV. I use it with my Fire stick. Interestingly, the Amazon fire devices are the only place the Slingbox app is free. If you want the app on an Apple device or another android device, the price is $14.99.

Can I use in my own house to watch cable tv in the bathtub?

I want simply to plug a device into my cable box (HDMI) output that will broadcast the program I choose to my iPad 20 feet away in my bathtub. I can not run a wire through the walls. I can not put a cable box in the bathroom. The Fios Mobile app sucks beyond comprehension.There is perfect 100Mbps Wifi throughout my house.

Yes, this is possible. You will need to purchase the iOS app. That is an additional $15 I believe (that was the price when I purchased it last year, not sure how much it is now). You can then run the app on your iPad and watch your cable box anywhere in your house using any apple device such as an iPad, iPhone or an Apple TV.

how does it work on an RV?? there is no internet at the campground just iphone to hook up via hotspot

You will need to purchase the Slingbox iOS app for your iPhone and connect via the hotspot available. Quality of the video will depend on your internet connection. If you have an Apple TV, you can get the app on that which you can then connect to a TV in your RV.

Possible virus

I have a HP Mini Netbook - when it first turns on up comes a large box with the system scanning for viruses and it found 6 then it will show them on the screen. It will not let you delete it, fix it, or do anything. Am I needing a repair person to come to the house or is there something I can do myself? I miss using my computer !

You are infected with a virus. The program that says it's looking for a virus is a virus itself. Google tips for a software called malwarebytes (free) and step by step instructions on how to remove it. You will need to start your computer in the safe mode setting and take it from there. Google for how to do this!

You need a cross-over network cable. There are certain 3 feet CAT5 network cables for as little as $2-$3 if you look hard enough online. Or go to a local computer repair shop and ask them if they have any. A regular ethernet cable from your cable/broadband company will not work.
