Purchased these 11/28. I was a previous user of the Jawbone Up. Bought this for the bluetooth capability. Returning today. Band broke on one already. Snapped in middle while reading a book. Second one is very inaccurate. Gained 5000-8000 steps while crocheting. Customer service said moving my hands to crochet was considered mild exercise. They didn't see this as an issue even though i explained that I never had this issue with the Jawbone Up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can this be used for lap swimming?

Much of my exercise is done in a swimming pool. Can this model be used for water exercises? If not, is there another style that would?
The Up cannot be used for swimming. It is water resistant not waterproof. Shower okay, swimming not. The Jawbone Move is a clip type with optional strap that is okay for swimming.

Are you able to plug this in to recharge the jawbone or do you have to replace the batteries?

The silver clip comes off at the end and you plug it into the wall with the included charger. Lasts 7 to 10 days.

How well does this stay on your wrist since I do not see a clip?

The Up band stays on quite well. I have used it for 18 months without an issue. You jusrbend it slightly to put it on or take it off. I only took mine off for swimming. Highly recommend it.
