I am using two of these drives. One is attached to my
Xbox One. As others have noted, this drive works great in this role. Games load just as fast, if not a little bit faster, from this drive compared to the internal drive on the One. And, of course it is nice having the space for additional games.

The second drive is attached to my Netgear Nighhawk R7000 router and used as network storage for all the PC's in the home. Does the job backing up photos, documents, and let's not forget the huge Steam games folder. Drive is nice and fast in this role. I don't stream movies from this drive, as some issues with the R7000 router and streaming are noted on the Netgear forums.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Works great with latest driver
What's not so great: None
Was having some issues (missing textures, flashing lights, low fps, etc) with the beta 260.xx drivers, but now with the 260.99 driver, my games (L4D2, Fallout: NV, Dirt 2, and the new Medal of Honor) are playing buttery smooth with everything maxed out.

Can this be used on the Xbox One as an external hard drive?
Absolutely! I have used this drive since the day the Xbox One added this functionality. This drive works great in this role.
