Glad I found this out of six thousand external HD's to pick from. Solid state, very fast, compact, totally silent and - the best news. . .it works. I plugged it into my older iMac running v10.9.5 and followed the simple setup. Done. Time Machine found it, set up the back up and off to the races. Why can't everything be this easy?
I would recommend this to a friend!

1 1/2 questions: Can I store data from a PC as well on the Mac external drive? Does this come with its own storage pouch??

I have a MacBook Pro and will use the WD 1TB to store files. I also want to know if I can store files from a PC.
I want to know if this comes with its own pouch.
There are instructions to format the drive to work with a PC, however, it did not appear to me that you could run both systems on this drive at the same time. there is no pouch, however the hard case seems very sturdy.
