Bought this for husband for Father's Day. He and kids love it for playing phone and iPad songs at cookouts/sporting events, etc. Great size and sound. Only complaint, which seems small but then wears on you, is a ridiculously loud and annoying voice that announces when system is connected/disconnected. And there's no way to turn down volume on the announcement--which is loud enough and long enough to wake little ones if you're trying to listen to quiet music in another room. Poor design for that feature--why???
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: turn-off brush roller, no need to buy filters (rinse regularly), no bags,lightweight, automatic carpet height adjuster
What's not so great: cleaning wand a hassle
I go through a lot of vacuums, mostly because I can't spend $200+ so try to find the best of the bargain models. This is a big improvement over other machines in this price range because you can turn off the roller--so you don't just shoot dirt/crumbs all over your wood/tile/laminate floors. It felt like a lightweight toy compared to my old vacuum, but seems to clean well. The major drawback is the design of the cleaning wand. You have to unhook the suction line from the base vacuum and hook in the cleaning wand in a way that doesn't seem at all intuitive. I'm surprised this feature made it passed the design phase. And I'm also disappointed that there's no brush roller attachment to get pet hair and crud off of furniture. That seems to come standard even at this low price point, so am surprised at the limited attachments (just 2 that are oddly connected to one another and stow awkwardly on the back). In all, though, I'm pretty happy with this vacuum and think this is about the best you'll do at this price point--I've accepted that the machines in this price group all represent a bit of a compromise and you get what you pay for.

does the unit have an adjustable height brush roll?

If so what are the levels available?
It adjusts automatically. The only 2 setting are brush on/off. They claim the machine adapts to carpet height on its own. So I guess the answer is yes and no.
